Departure & return: Avignon
Embark on a delightful half-day excursion to explore the iconic Roman aqueduct of Pont du Gard and the picturesque town of Uzès. The Pont du Gard is an extraordinary ancient Roman aqueduct bridge located in southern France, near Vers-Pont-du-Gard and not far from Nîmes. It stands out as one of the best-preserved and most breathtaking examples of Roman engineering.
Afterward, we will head to Uzès, which is often hailed as one of the most charming small towns in southern France. This gem beautifully blends Provençal elegance with a medieval flair, featuring winding cobblestone streets, sun-kissed stone buildings, and leafy squares that provide welcome shade from the plane trees.
